MAPP EPSRC Future Manufacturing Hub
MAPP, the EPSRC Future Manufacturing Hub in Manufacture using Advanced Powder Processes has a vision to deliver on the promise of powder-based manufacturing to provide low energy, low cost, and low waste high value manufacturing routes and products to secure UK manufacturing productivity and growth.
Since our launch in January 2017 we have held two hugely successful international conferences (one as hosts for the Alloys for Additive Manufacturing Symposium), delivered our first round of Feasibility funding and been joined by new partner University College London as Prof. Peter Lee made the move from University of Manchester. We retain Manchester as a partner though, and along with Imperial College London, Universities of Leeds and Oxford and led by the University of Sheffield, MAPP is delivering outcomes and impact in right first time manufacturing and future manufacturing technology.
We have published over 30 papers in leading journals, delivered almost 60 invited speaker presentations and are building collaborations with a network of more than 50 academic, industry and high value manufacturing catapults.
